senior class picnic

today we had our senior class picnic to plan some graduation details for this coming spring.

really weird to think about graduating and leaving high school in just 7 months or so.

we took a lot of pictures... some of them are blurry since certain people (ahem!) don't know how to focus a camera. but that's ok, we still love them. :)

and i had to model the faaaaattie penguin outfits...

deep creek lake

last week i went to deep creek, up in western maryland. :)

uncle tom, aunt julie, jojo and i drove up sunday afternoon, and stayed until saturday.

pretty much we just hung out, ate food, watched movies, read books.

one day we went on a hike at swallow falls, and we tanned on the beach three or four of the days.

it was really relaxing and fun. oh good memories. :)

on thursday uncle tom took jojo and i to swallow falls.

we hiked the trail and splashed around in the water a little.

there was a giant waterfall, with no guardrails or caution signs or ropes or anything.

i kinda had to lean over the edge a little :) 

the rocks were kind of too slippery :) we chickened out...

haha, i think mini-golf is always very entertaining :)

except that she is more photogenic than me.

but i forgive her :)

 ohhh so much fun :) it was a really cool, relaxing vacation...

so glad we could go and get a tan! which was the whole point :) haha.

banquet [during]

haha, now for a post on the actual banquet at church. :)

the gym was so gorgeous and fancy, and there were beautiful lights. we watched some really encouraging videos of different people honoring the seniors. these videos really spurred me on in my love for God, because i want to be like all these seniors and follow him full-heartedly like many of them. it was so obvious that they are brimming full with joy, because they truly love God. it was really cool to see how God is working in our youth ministry for his glory... wow! it was incredible to reflect on his grace on saturday night.
