the bible

"it is God’s great mind brought down to our littleness, that it may lift us up."
- charles spurgeon

i love this description of the God's word. it's so simple.
our thoughts are not God's thoughts, his knowledge is higher than the heavens are above the earth.
but i am so thankful that he has, in a way, "translated" his thoughts to us so that we can know his heart. how amazing!

saving grace - the afters

falling into you
i'm safe and sound
you open up my eyes
i see you now

you're my saving grace
you're my saving grace
i run to my hiding place
my saving grace

carry me now
on your shoulders
i won't look down
pull me closer

Identity in Christ

"Until you have given up your self to Him you will not have a real self. ... Nothing in you that has not died will ever be raised from the dead. Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay. But look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in."
~ Mere Christianity, C. S. Lewis

2 reading:
- Much Ado About Nothing
- Huckleberry Finn (with Bekah)
- Exodus and Proverbs

3 movies:
- The Dark Knight
- Beauty and the Beast

4 fun:
- basketball blackout games

3 planning:

5 spring fever:
- i want to soar up into the skies in a pink butterfly hot air balloon and paint the sky blue, erasing the clouds, and throw glittering sunbeams all around. then i want to come back down and pull flowers out of the snow until its heating ice is blocked out in a rainbow of buds. then i want to hop in my jeep and let the humming wheels carry me "somewhere warm and sunny" to "an island that i own" where i'll be "tanned and rested and alone."
- but i have to remember, that summer is not heaven. there will be problems when i get there, and nothing will be perfect. and i still have a lonnngg time to wait.
