this makes me laugh

this was from quite a while ago... HILARIOUS! :))))))) let's just say dad got a little carried away while playing with abigail... but now we shall never be able to forget the events of that day, since he grabbed the camera nearby and snapped some action shots.

little pups... we got her two weeks before christmas this past year, and that winter happened to be the greatest metro d.c. snowstorm in history. no, like literally.

poor thing couldn't even see over the snow...

big deal.

like really big deal.

this has been a week of big deal. s.

first of all, a lot of my friends graduated. some of the people i love very much and have been really good friends with.... now, they're not in high school any more! afjakjhdfkjhkjh!

second, in like 5 minutes courtney and noah are coming over tonight. ok... so yes, that is a big deal in and of itself. but. they are getting married like. super soon! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! this is so crazy, words cannot describe it! annnnnnnd, they just asked us to be in their wedding! :))))))))))))))))))))))))

third, tomorrow morning, my bff, ellie, is getting baptized! :) i am soooo excited for her!

- i don't know what i want to do when i graduate high school

- i am always hot, even in the winter

- summer is my favorite season

- cross country rocks!

- i love teaching piano lessons and babysitting

- just read Wuthering Heights... kind of psychotic, but really good

- third day of the third year of swim team is today :)

- awaiting Summer Celebration with all the usual anticipation

- i'm going to miss all my friends who are graduating

- not sure if i want to audition for Godspell this year...

- A Gospel Primer for Christians by Milton Vincent has probably changed my life more than any other book (except maybe Desiring God by John Piper)

- current favorite book of the Bible... the Psalms? or maybe Hebrews? or Romans...? i still really love Genesis...

- i serve a great God, and he is the love of my life (although not as much as he could and should be)

- this makes me smile...

... was amazing! so basically all the pictures will be appearing on the family blog (see here and here)... but i couldn't resist putting up some of my favorite photos here! :)

the water is perfectly greenish-blueish! aaahh

...and my sister is adorable!

one more comment about the water... it was WARM!!!!!

the sunsets at siesta key are breathtaking

but when the sun was out... shade was crucial!

as usually, daddy went fishing on a few of the days we were there...

while he was out this one time, a dolphin came swimming right up to him.

it was really cool! :)

not sure how easy it is to see its fin in this picture, but we could all see it from the shore...

the whole time (i think) cj had something in his mouth :P haha!

one other thing... my favorite color is yellow and while we were walking around st. armands circle (a beautiful florida shopping island) we saw it...

a YELLOW. CONVERTIBLE. JEEP!

ooooh my. it was cool. and i took a picture with it... :)

we also did a photo shoot on the beach, annnnd mom and dad even took us to epcot!!!
